[He shifts to give her space, looking at the bed before looking at her and settling to lay down with her. He'll just kind of scoot closer and loosely hold her waist if she'll let him. He's not always great at being comforting, but it's like he said to her. They're friends. It's the least he can do.]
[She wasn’t kidding when she said she wasn’t tired - or, at least, she’s too nervous to sleep. As he puts an arm around her, she reaches to take his hand.]
Mm...[He doesn't mind. He genuinely doesn't mind and he lets her take his hand as he keeps close.] Tell me about...the last book you read. You must've found something good in the library right?

[...he's taking the photo in his hand to take a closer look.]
Well. Your wife is beautiful. Baby has your eyes though. [Definitely a joke to blow this off but he's examining the image clearly.] When did you get this?
Progress. That means it's probably doing better...so I'm glad to hear that. [He seems to hesitate on answering still, but he nods.] Luckily the weekend's almost over.
[He's flipping around to see if there's a date on the back, etc.]
Black and white seems to suggest it's from some time ago...makes me wonder if it's tied to those things we saw the first time we got a hold of a camera. The creatures that had our appearances but the faces were blurred out.
