[Another loose roll of the dice, still in a way that isn't meant to draw attention but simply turning them over in his hands and on the counter.]

Too nice for his own good. [It's mumbled because, like, Carlos is a lot.] We were teammates. It worked out like it was supposed to but now we're stuck here. Sucks, doesn't it?

[She exhales, though, nodding.]

Sucks might be an understatement.

So I've been told. [It's all he says, but he doesn't clarify which part he means. He continues fiddling with his glass instead.]

[She looks like she wants to say something else, but—]

[The look he gives her is more amused now, baiting and intrigued.]

[For a second, she almost looks like annoyed, frustrated, something - but she shakes her head.]

No. I guess not.

...I'll be fine, Beck. It won't be right away anyway. [He finishes another glass and looks at the bottom of it.]

...c'mon. I'll walk you back to your room.

[She doesn't comment on the first part, but...]

[It's meant to be joking, but mostly it's a little tired. Either way, she stands up.]

[crashout]

[He pushes himself away from whatever surface he was sitting/leaning against and leaves the glass behind, slipping the dice into his pockets and beginning to lead the way. He's quiet and he doesn't fill the silence but he does seem to know exactly where her room is so. There's that.

He stops in front of the door.]

Hotel's not that big. So...come find me if you need something. Okay?

[uncurtained]

[Before she heads in, she nods.]

...Yeah. You too, okay?

[crashout]

Sure. Of course. [He waits for her to open the door, but when she looks like she will he turns and walks away. He's definitely heading to someone else's room? But it's fine. Good night, Beck.]
