I think... something you wouldn’t say if you had a choice. I didn’t ask him the first question, but I would assume pretty public. It’s supposed to be hard.

No, but... I mean, given his, um, symptoms - it's probably the sooner, the better. We don't want him to hurt anyone accidentally.

[With an amused noise, though, she shrugs.]

Not in the slightest. [It is but he's embarrassed...still, there's another small smile.]

It doesn't surprise me that he'd figure out a way. Carlos told us he dedicated his whole life to saving people. That never really went away here, I guess. [He's fond of the dumb himbo...] Both of you working together makes sense.

[uncurtained]

[Wow!! It's accompanied by a smile, at least.]

It doesn't surprise me that he said something like that, either. He's a really good guy.

[Just elbowing her. Leave him alone, he has a reputation to uphold!! Except he is a nerd because he looks far too happy with that.

And then...there's the subject of Carlos and he just kind of nods.] ...yeah, he is. [His expression little softer at that.] He doesn't always pay attention to the obvious things around him, but he's good at his job and he's good at taking care of other people. In that way, it's almost not surprising he's a host.

You sure you want to maintain that you aren't getting sappy?

[There's a small giggle, but she nods.]

I do, apparently. [And he seems thoughtful about that.] Seems like a lot of people expect things from me and that includes being stoic. [But he shrugs because at least with Beck he can relax a little.] I'm pretty sure you know me better than most people though. So I trust you to keep that secret safe.

...As long as you work as hard as I know you’re going to, I don’t think there’s a problem with being yourself, you know.

[She’s leaning forward slightly to kiss his cheek.]

[He leans into it before just...loosely hugging her because a.) he's a sap and b.) he feels like it. He's mindful of her injuries though.]

I've heard that being myself might be a liability, but maybe you're right. [A huff.] And you're kind of working harder than me right now anyway. I'm not the one who got clawed by a zombie this week.
