It's not as though anyone would have been able to anticipate a halberd being stowed away in the elevator. And now that we all know just what they can do in preparation for investigation, we can take our necessary countermeasures.
[Giving her a curious look! After a second of silence:]
—I withheld mine this time around, since I wasn't entirely convinced it was Illumi. [LOOK MAN IT SEEMED TOO OBVIOUS.] Why? Who did you end up voting for?
It's not a bad idea, but I'm not so sure our dear friend would admit to being one of the four votes for Illumi so easily. That narrows it down to a one-in-four chance of it being caught, and we know someone out there is able to track down our possessed and exorcise them even outside of Sundays.
Then... We might be able to narrow it down somehow. Like, if more than one person says they chose the same burn, or we could narrow it down to everyone who says they didn't vote.
That's not a bad plan at all! Though it does seem like we had a large number who didn't vote this time around, considering Illumi himself only got four.
I kind of wonder about that. I mean - I thought at first they had to be burns, but some people have been writing nice stuff. Maybe we don't have to leave a message at all.
Nothing to lose if you do, hm? Though I could ask too, if you need any more rest...
[He is still
very concerned. How's her wound looking today, anyway? Hopefully less angry and red than the day before, but now that he's seen the state of that halberd, infection is absolutely a concern even with Dick's nursing.]
I would prefer it if you could get all the rest possible...
[At least it looks better than it did yesterday BUT STILL. BIG WORRY, BIG WORRY ALL THE TIME. Granted, considering he knows how much it sucks to feel like you can't do shit:]
But I don't want to stop you from doing something you feel you should do.

[She looks grateful, even though the self blame will never leave. Anyways, after a few moments:]
By the way - can I ask who you voted for?

[She shrugs, though, lightly.]
Illumi. It seemed... more likely than the others.

I mean... One of the votes looked wrong, right? How could anybody else's vote have looked like that?

[He thinks it's hilarious...]

[They really... narrowly escaped disaster, didn't they. Damn.]
Well - if you'd like help asking around, I can, too.

[If she's right about that possibility, that's a big ol' hurdle chucked into their plan.]

Either way, she shakes her head.]
I can do it. I mean - unless you wanted to.
[She doesn't really want to worry him more by Not Resting, at least.]
