[She smiles as she feels his lips brush her forehead - but a moment later, she's reaching up to hold his face in her hands so she can guide his mouth down to meet hers.]

[he goes with the hold, leaning down to press their lips together - kissing has been an interesting adventure to learn through. but he thinks that beck is different already, softer compared to polly and other partners. it's cute.

he loops an arm around her waist and rests a hand at her lower back, taking steps forward to guide her toward the bed, holding her just so that she won't stumble on the way over]

[Rather than walk as he guides her, she hops up a little so she can wrap her legs around his waist, deepening the kiss as she does.]

[beck is so forward and i respect her so much

but don't mind if higekiri ends up smiling into that kiss, even as he wraps his arms around her once she's attached to him. there's a brief second where he spins them both just once before carrying her the rest of the way over to the bed

[She pulls away only slightly so she can laugh as he spins them, low and breathy against his neck. As they reach the bed, she spreads herself out, already reaching down to unbutton her jeans.]

[she really takes so much initiative, and higekiri is still amused about it even as he hovers over her, pressing tickling kisses against her neck even as his fingers slip underneath her shirt, guiding the fabric up with his hands to ease it over her head once her hands are free again]

[She moves her arms to make it easier for him, but it’s fair to say that by now, her mind is on things other than what he mentioned about the writing. That’s why she doesn’t make any attempt to hide the message written across her waist:

Lied about her father being alive. It doesn’t seem she’s noticed it, either.]

[isn't that something? higekiri is still away from her enough when he tries to put her shirt off to the side that whether he likes it or not, he catches sight of the words

and then he'll just end up pressing their lips together again - if she hasn't noticed, he's decided to leave this as a topic for later]

She's laying beside him when they're both done, turned over so she's on her side, tracing little patterns into his shoulder with her fingernails.]

How are you feeling...?

[banzais]

[he accepts that easily, giving her an easygoing smile even as he leans forward again to press a brief kiss to the tip of her nose]

Relaxed - good.

And you?

[uncurtained]

[She smiles, brushing his hair back.]

About the same. That was nice... Thank you.

[banzais]

[there's just a laugh at that]

I'll extend my gratitude to you as well.

I'm relieved to know that you will be safe this week regardless.

[uncurtained]

[It's then that she sits up slightly, pulling the sheets up with her so she's covered.]

Are you hungry? I could go for some pancakes.

[the thing is that higekiri wanted to talk about tattoos

but like

he's pausing]

... pancakes do sound good. I have not had them very often...

[She notices the pause, and so—]

Does something else sound better?

[banzais]

Mm, I just had a question... but I'd hate to ruin your appetite.

[uncurtained]

[She shakes her head.]

No, go ahead. What is it?

[banzais]

[he moves to trace where her tattoo is - but on his own body]

You - had something here...

[uncurtained]

[She blinks, peering under the covers so she can see what he means - and when she's able to read what it says, she looks mortified.]

Oh my god. I... I promise, there's an explanation that doesn't make me seem like a total asshole.

[Maybe.]

[banzais]

[higekiri blinks at that - before letting a hand rest over hers]

I do not think that you are.

[and he sounds sincere about it?]

Okay, but... I feel like I should explain anyways.

[Which doesn't quite make it easier to know where to start. That might be why she's running a hand over her face, sighing.]

... then you can.

[he tilts his head, still not judging]

Whenever you feel is comfortable. We have time.

[uncurtained]

Right. Just...

[She doesn't think Higekiri would be familiar with the details she'd have to dig into, so she decides to leave it vague.]

He made a lot of choices that hurt me and my family. And we thought it was going to get better after he had... kind of a wake up call, because those choices almost killed him. But, then he just kept on making those choices. So I decided - it would be easier to think of it like he really did die. You know...?

[banzais]

[ . . . he just makes a soft noise in response to that before leaning over, closer toward her so that he can press a kiss to the top of her head, gentle]

You had to find a way to protect yourself, instead of letting yourself continue to be hurt... isn't it?
