I've been trying to figure out how to work the staples of my world here. Things like protection charms and circles, purification rings, warding spells - and I've promised to start looking into ways to split a cursed being from a host body. For the most part they just take things like ink or salt, paper. ...The room's in a bit of a state right now, though.

[WELL ON THE PLUS SIDE, IT'S NOT A BALLROOM FULL OF BLOOD AND HACKED-UP BODIES...

But as he swings the door to their room open, it's clear he's one of those You Really Live Like This people... It's like a fuckin goblin man witchcraft bachelor pad in here. There are just empty snack wrappers all over hell and back, partially finished cookies and chips, more watermelon rinds, a whole plate of watermelon slices that has yet to be finished sitting smack in the middle of the couch, one slice that's somehow fallen off the plate and onto a cushion alongside a half-empty bowl(????) of alcohol, crumpled pieces of paper covered in blotchy scribbles, and enough empty alcohol bottles that it's probably kind of concerning. Mostly on the floor, but notably one in the bathtub, for some reason.

There are also smudges and spills of what appears to be ink all over the floor and on part of the kitchenette walls at Wei-Wuxian-When-Sitting-On-The-Floor height. In some of the places where he wiped it away more carelessly, she'll probably be able to see vague circular rune-like shapes. There's also salt like. Fuckin everywhere. Just scattered all over everything like he ran through the place with a saltshaker while shivering from the cold, and also salt in a couple of bowls here and there?? In one corner of the floor, there's a pile of black and red fabrics that appears rumpled, almost like some sort of stinky rat man was sleeping in them at 4am.

Hilariously, the bed and the floor by it have been left pretty much clean and untouched. Hm!]

A bowl is more useful than a cup or glass! Once I finish the drink, I can repurpose it and it saves me a trip back to the kitchen if I'm in the middle of working on something.

Perimeter barriers, protection rings, spirit deflection. I'm working on deflection charms that can be carried, too. None of these have had the sort of effect I'm looking for just yet, though.

Not much of anything at all, unfortunately! [He sighs, carding a hand through his hair and toeing at one of the ink splotches.] The ones I was carrying on me didn't really stop whatever is here and I haven't had the chance to test out the rest.
